Many Telugu celebs came forward to do their bit and donate money after Chiranjeevi set up the Corona Crisis Charity (CCC) to help out daily-wage workers.

Just like rest of the world, these workers are facing the brunt of the novel coronavirus lockdown. And after Chiranjeevi, chairman of the charity announced the same on social media and pledged Rs 1 Cr to do his bit for them, Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Nagarjuna soon followed suit.

Later, Varun Tej, Ravi Teja, Vishwak Sen, Sai Dharam Tej and Sharwanand also came forward to donate funds to the charity. Stating that he’s doing this for the welfare of workers, Varun Tej shared a note about his donation on social media and wrote, “Doing my bit at this time of crisis! Please do your part to help the people in need around you!

Ravi Teja on the other hand unleashed his philosophical side and stated, “The purpose of taking is never complete till the aspect of giving comes in. It’s not a measurement of the pain but just a contribution to the needs of the cineworkers. An amount of 20Lakhs will be added to the
#CCC account on my behalf. #StaySafeStayHome.” (sic)

Donating Rs 15 lakh Sharwananad assured his fans and wrote, “We are all in this together! You all know the Rules to follow! Let’s do it!
#IndiaFightsCorona.” (sic)

Actor Vishawak Sen made his entry onto Twitter on his birthday on Sunday donated Rs 5 lakh.

Stating that CCC is a much-needed initiative during this time, actor Sai Dharam Tej donated Rs 10 lakh for the charity, ”
#CoronaCrisisCharity is one of the most needed and noble initiative in this hour of strife. Film industry is our family and we should come forward to take care of daily wage workers. I would like to pledge an amount of Rs. 10 lakhs to this initiative. Stay home. Stay safe.” (sic)
