Jammu & Kashmir: 35 killed in road mishap in Kishtwar

At least 35 people killed while 17 others injured in a bus accident in Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir; 11 critically injured persons being air-lifted to Government Medical College in Jammu; Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah express grief on loss of lives.
35 persons dead and 17 injured after a matador vehicle fell into a gorge in Kishtwar district. Deputy Commissioner of Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana said 11 critically injured persons are being air-lifted to Government Medical College, Jammu for specialised treatment.
Locals, police, administration officer are undertaking rescue and relief operations. The accident occurred, when a mini bus rolled down a hilly road and fell into deep gorge in Kishtwar district Monday morning.
The ill-fated mini-bus was on its way to Kishtwar from Keshwan, when it skidded off the road near Sirgwari and rolled down into the gorge. Rescue operations is still going on.
