Sharing his experience of working with a powerhouse actor like Ranveer, Saqib was all praise for him. He said, “Ranveer is a janam, he’s a darling. He comes with his arms open, hugs you warmly and he gives you all the love. There’s so much positivity energy coming out of Ranveer that it warms your heart. When you work with somebody who comes with so much positivity and love; it feels like you can give your all to that person. He’s a very good actor and I share a great rapport with him.”
Not only that but Saqib also opened up about working with director Kabir Khan in ’83’. “To be directed by Kabir, I think he’s one of the nicest guys I’ve worked with. He’s so lovely and so nice and warm. It’s just been great. He’s such an interesting director to work with because he was a documentary filmmaker earlier and now he makes good commercial movies,” he added.
Furthermore, he said, “So, it was an interesting mix and there was so much to learn from him. He taught me which moment is more heroic than the other and what this moment means, so he has a very interesting way of doing that. It was a great experience with Kabir.”
The sports drama also stars Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Harrdy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Jiiva, Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, Nishant Dahiya, and Sahil Khattar in pivotal roles. Meanwhile, ’83’ which was all set to release on 10th April has been postponed due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
