Sabi Alam Abdul Gafar Ansari, an occupant of Mhada Colony, wounded his better half Nazia Ansari, 22, eight times with a blade.

Manikrao Jadhav, reviewer from Nizampur police headquarters and researching officer, said that the blamed is a medication junkie.

Rabia Shaikh, 45, mother of Nazia, enlisted an objection against Gafar at Nizampur police headquarters.

The police enlisted a homicide case under areas 302, 352 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and segments 37 (1) and 154 of the Maharashtra Police Act.
