Bihar: 16 additional beds added to pediatrics ICU in SKMCH, Muzaffarpur
In Muzaffarpur district of Bihar, 16 additional beds have been added to pediatrics ICU in view of rising number of cases of children affected with encephalitis in Sri Krishna Medical College Hospital.
According to the Superintendent of SKMCH, with this addition, number of beds in ICU has increased to 66.
Chief Medical Officer of the hospital said administration is concentrating on better treatment at periphery level so that all 16 Primary Health Centres are equipped.
About 114 deaths have been reported in Muzaffarpur alone due to Acute encephalitis syndrome outbreak.
