One arrested for running fake website offering free laptops, solar panels
As the Narendra Modi-led NDA government has hit the ground running, many fraudsters have come up with fake offers of free laptops and solar panels to cheat people in the name of new schemes under Modi government.
However, these claims and messages are fake and are being circulated to dupe the people.
After the message went viral, an FIR was registered under the IT Act.
Police has arrested one accused from Nagaur district of Rajasthan.
The accused has been identified as an IIT-Kanpur post graduate who created one such website with the intention of earning money through web advertising revenue from increased website traffic.
