Wimbledon 2019 starts today
In Tennis, the iconic tennis championships Wimbledon 2019 start in London on Monday.
Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal have been placed on one half of the draw after the Spanish superstar was seeded No 3 for the tournament. Novak Djokovic opens against Philipp Kohlschreiber. Roger Federer faces Lloyd Harris.
The women’s draw looks particularly exciting with World No 1 Ashleigh Barty, defending champion Angelique Kerber and 2018 runner-up Serena Williams all in the top quarter of the draw.
The story of the women’s draw is undoubtedly Venus Williams being drawn to face 15-year-old Cori Gauff in the opener.
